Freestone County Fair Association Directors Scott Holmes and Sid Fryer retired from the board of directors at the 2021 Annual Meeting on Monday, October 11. Holmes and Fryer plan to continue as an active member in the Fair Association to support the youth of our county.
Fryer, a Fairfield native, has been a member of the FCFA since 1993. Fryer served as a director from 1995 to 2001; Vice President in 2002, 2003 and 2007; President from 2008 to 2015; and Vice President from 2016 to 2021.
Holmes, a native of Teague, has been a member of the FCFA since 1997. Holmes served as a director from 1997 to 2007; Vice President 2008 and 2009; and Treasurer from 2010 to 2021.
Both Fryer and Holmes have served as chairman on various committees during their many years as a member of FCFA.
