According to Monte Atchley, Freestone County Emergency Management Coordinator, the goal is to administer 60 to 70 tests during this event.
This will be conducted as a Drive-In testing site. Individuals will stay inside their vehicle, at all times.
Logistically, vehicles will enter from Williford Street. Those individuals being tested will need to be seated on the driver’s side of the vehicle.
According to EM Coordinator Atchley, testing will conducted in a secluded manner, to provide privacy, and test results will be sent directly to these individuals.
“Results will take 2 to 3 days,” said Atchley, explaining that these are the quicker tests.
This Mobile Test Collection event is being brought to our area with the cooperation of Freestone County and the City of Fairfield.
Testing is being conducted with the assistance of the Texas Military Department, Texas Division of Emergency Management, Texas Emergency Medical Task Force, and Texas Health and Human Service.
