Fred Wayne Galley, 89, passed away quietly on Tuesday, August 20, 2024, at home on Crooked Creek Ranch with his wife, Jean Galley, by his side.

He was born and raised in Dallas, and proudly graduated from Texas A&M.

After serving in the US Army, he joined the US Forest Service for more than 25 years.

After retiring from the USFS, he was in commercial real estate.

In 2006 he achieved his life-long dream of retiring to a cattle & exotic animal ranch – Crooked Creek Ranch.

He was preceded in death by his parents Lula Ione (Tubbs) and Fred Galley.

Fred leaves behind his wife and family – children: Mary (Jim) Homan, Sharon Galley, Rene’ Sanders, Janeen (Mark) Traylor and Neal (Sandra) Galley.

He was “Pappaw” to 9 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
