Frances Irene Epperson, 89 of Fairfield passed away Wednesday, March 18, 2020. She was born April 8, 1930 in North Platte, Nebraska to Clifford Scott and Vera Lawhorn Scott.
She was a member of Round Prairie Baptist Church. When she was able she was very involved with church and all their activities. Everything from Mission trips to the Easter egg hunts. Irene was a people person and was loved by everyone. Over the years she worked for Fairfield ISD in food services, Accessories Etc., and she was known as the Winn’s Lady where she worked for a number of years.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Charles R Epperson who passed in 1989; son, Rodney Boggs and granddaughter, Cindy Unrau. She is survived by her children, Kathleen Unrau & Marlin of Scio, OR, Bobbi Shepherd & Jeff of Fairfield, Dee Lynn Chap & Dean of Fairfield; grandchildren, Penny Topper, Chase Chap, Michael Chap, Mitchell Chap, Jesse Shaw, Kaitlyn Shepherd, Beau Shepherd, Jared Shepherd, Darcy Boggs, Deborah Unrau, David Unrau, Carin Unrau, Brian Unrau, Scotty Unrau, Jeremy Unrau and numerous great grandchildren.
Viewing was Saturday, March 21st at Griffin-Roughton Funeral Home followed by a Graveside Service at Fairfield Cemetery with Bro. Chris George and Bro. Ed Ridge officiating. Pallbearers were Chase Chap, Jesse Shaw, Donnie Cockerell, Dean Chap, Jeff Shepherd and Robert McAdams.
