The Fourth Annual BBQ Cook-Off, hosted by Freestone County Area Go Texan Committee, is happening this weekend, April 25-26, 2025 at the W.L. Moody Fairgrounds in Fairfield, Texas.
The BBQ Cook-Off is a IBCA Sanctioned Event. This year’s contest includes $5,000 Add On Money!
The event will include Live Music on Saturday, along with Vendors, Food Trucks, and a Silent Auction.
For the kids will be Face Painting, Snow Cones, and a Bounce House.
There will be Horseshoes on Friday evening at 7:00 p.m. and Cornhole Tournaments on Saturday following the BBQ Awards. Sign up on Scoreholio.
Entry Fee is $200 a Team, and $50 for Cook’s Choice entry.
Team meeting will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Friday, with Cook’s Choice event at 7:30 p.m. and Desserts at 8:30 p.m.
Saturday’s schedule includes Beans at 10:30 a.m., Chicken at 12:00 p.m., Pork Spare Ribs at 1:30 p.m., and Brisket at 3:00 p.m.
Awards will follow.
RV spots are limited, so get your spot reserved ($50.00 a night).
Your campsite is also your cook area!
There will also be open area cook spaces for those without a camper.
