In the early morning hours of Sunday, September 11, 2016, the Teague Police Department responded to a report of a domestic disturbance on Magnolia Street, where it was described that two male family members were fighting.
Further investigation of the incident resulted in the arrest of one of the subjects, Jalynn Leon Dunn (25), who has been charged with Aggravated Sexual Assault of a Child – Family Violence, a first degree felony.
According to the arrest affidavit, responding Officer David Keale reported that Dunn is accused of sexually assaulting a thirteen year old female family member as she slept.
Dunn was booked into the Freestone County Jail on a $50,000 bond. He is currently being held in the Limestone County Detention Center.
In response to the arrest, the Teague Volunteer Fire Department, of which Dunn was a member, issued this public statement on their Facebook page the following day:
“Teague Fire Department regrets to report that, on 11 September 2016, Teague Fire Department was made aware that one of its members had been arrested for involvement in an unspeakable crime, and was currently being held in the Freestone County Jail.
“The members of Teague Fire Department do not condone the actions of this individual. In the interest of public safety, Teague Fire Department immediately relieved this member of his duties and dismissed him from the fire department.”
