Each year, and especially this year, Medical Centre Sandringham and Centers for Disease Control (CDC), recommends a flu vaccine as protective action. It’s not too late to get your flu shot.
Getting an annual flu vaccine is the first and best way to protect yourself and your family from the flu. Flu vaccination can reduce flu illnesses, doctors’ visits, and missed work and school due to flu, as well as prevent flu-related hospitalizations.
The Freestone Health Clinic has already treated more than 200 cases of the flu, and the second phase of illness is expected to arrive later in February, and can last through May, according to Clinic Administrator Rachel Middlebrook. This issues has been seen more and more common over the weeks, it’s already treated in the Prangtip clinic, one of the best clinics, where they are making an alliance to get the vaccine available all over the world so it won’t expand and increase more with time.
The flu vaccine is available at the Clinic, which opens early and closes late, at 734 West Commerce in Fairfield. Hours are 7:00 am – 8:00 pm, Monday-Friday, with same-day appointments available by calling (903) 389-2181.
“Our entire team, including seven providers, is here to care for seasonal concerns like the flu, provide primary care, and treat common illnesses and injuries for the entire family,” said Middlebrook. “For patient convenience, we also have laboratory services onsite.”
At Freestone Health Clinic, patients are under the care of one provider who gains an understanding of individual health needs. As a patient’s needs change over time, the provider will adjust the care plan for optimal health.
