Five Fairfield High School students have advanced to State UIL Competition in Austin on May 4, 2019. Those students are Noe Soto, Anna Kaye Williams, Abbie Cunningham, Naydelin Espinoza, and Erin Rachel.
Fairfield students participated in UIL Academics Competition at the District level held at FHS on March 27th and April 2nd.
Those that advanced to the Regional level competed at Sam Houston on April 13th. Fairfield High School placed Third overall out of thirty-one schools attending the competition.
Regional Results are as follows:
–Computer Applications, Noe Soto, 2nd
–Prose and Poetry: Morgan Coleman, 6th
–Copy Editing: Anna Kaye Williams, 1st and Molly Allred, 5th
–News Writing: Abbie Cunningham, 2nd
–Feature Writing: Naydelin Espinoza, 3rd
–Editorial Writing: Erin Rachel, 3rd
–Journalism: Team placed first
–Literary Criticism: Molly Allred, 6th
–Literary Criticism: Team placed third
–Computer Science: Team placed third
