Fairfield ISD Board of Trustees approved a Resolution and Order of Postponement of the May 3rd School Board Election to the November 3, 2020 General Election date during a Special Called meeting held Monday afternoon, April 6th via a Zoom video conference meeting.
A quorum was present, consisting of Eric Chavers, John Fryer, Kim Whitaker, Gregory Gibson and O.B. Utley. Members Kevin Benedict and Kirby Flandry were not in attendance.
This change will require the school district to utilize County Election Precincts for their election.
Important dates for the November 3rd Election are as follows:
–Voter registration deadline is October 5th
–Deadline to submit an ABBM (Application for Ballot By Mail) is October 23rd
–Dates for Early Voting will be October 19th through October 30th
–The Fairfield ISD Board of Trustees will take action no later than August 17th to make any necessary revision to the original Order of Election
