Votes were canvassed and new board members sworn in during the May 16, 2022 meeting of the Fairfield ISD Board of Trustees. They include incumbents Kim Whitaker and O.B. Utley, along with newcomer Penny Meredith.
Board members Kevin Benedict was elected as FISD Board President, John Fryer as Vice-President, and Kirby Flandry as Board Secretary.
Other business included the following:
–Agreement with Service Solutions (SSC) for custodial services was approved.
–Annual TEKS certification was approved.
–Sledge Engineering was approved as a 3rd party firm to oversee the elementary HVAC renovation and district LED light installation in the amount of $14,000 (part of recently passed bond).
–Quote from Lockridge Priest was approved for the HVAC units at FHS and FJH (part of the bond).
–Quote from Longhorn Bus Sales was approved for the purchase of 6 full size buses (part of the bond).
