LOCAL AGENCIES RESPONDED to a catastrophic fire at Dad’s Place Restaurant in Dew on April 11th.
According to reports, Dew, Fairfield, Teague, Wortham Fire Departments, Fairfield EMS, and Freestone County Sheriff’s Office assisted with the containment of a large fire that reportedly began in the back of the building.
Owners Monte and Tammy Atchley thanked first responders for their efforts and announced that the beloved restaurant will be closed indefinitely.
Teague Volunteer Fire Department sent a special message to the Atchleys, saying “This is a special place for many people in our area, especially emergency personnel. It’s a firefighter owned business and we all frequent it often. We offer our prayers to the owner and his family during this tough time. We got your back brother and we will be back when you reopen… count on it!”
