Fire at Teague Restaurant Knocked Down by Local Departments

On the morning of Thursday, February 29, 2024, Teague Fire Department responded to a reported commercial building fire at Cookie’s Restaurant.

Upon arrival, E92 found smoke showing from the exterior, stretched a line into the building, and quickly located a fire in the ceiling.

The fire was knocked down and overhaul operations followed.

Agencies assisting were Fairfield FD, Dew FD, Teague Hospital District EMS, and Teague PD.

“We’re all safe, just heartbroken,” explains Cookie’s owner, Ruby Taylor. “We will have more details later when we will be able to open back up. Thank you all so much for your prayers.”
