Call 4 Computers has been named as Fairfield Chamber of Commerce’s Business of the Month for September 2016.
The business is locally owned and operated in Fairfield, and has been an important asset to the community since its opening in 2001.
“At the time when I opened the business, I saw there was a great need in the area for this type of service,” explains owner Rodney Norton (otherwise known as Rod). “But it wasn’t until I met Julie that the business really got up and running,” he says with a smile.
Julie runs the office and her son Dylan White serves as Lead PC Tech.
The retail store, located at 221 West Main Street in Fairfield, offers in-house computer repair, sales, consulting, backups, and upgrades. They can even provide you with a new computer customized to your individual needs; and are one of the few businesses that still offer computers with Windows 7.
For the business customer, Call 4 Computers offers on-site service in the tri-county area, specializing in on-site repair, new installations, and a complete line of networking services.
Originally from Alaska, Rod began his computer career in Redmond Washington in 1992 as a software salesman. He moved around to places like Oregon & California before settling here in town.
His parents are originally from the Wortham area, and Rod found his way here to be near family members that are located all over the Freestone County Area.
Rod is an avid sports fan and enjoys playing in the Mexia Men’s Soccer League. He loves music and spending time with family.
Julie is a native of Teague, and she and Rod married in November of 2010. In her down time, she enjoys spending time with her grandbaby and family, as well as listening to music and working in her flowerbeds.
Dylan is also from Teague. When not working, he enjoys fishing at the lake and watching sports.
The family has plans to continue to expand the business, and grow its work force to ensure the continuance of providing great customer service.
Call 4 Computers is open Monday-Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. They can be reached by calling 903-389-6942, visiting their website at www.call4computers.com, or on Facebook at www.facebook.com/call4computers.
