Offering education with a Christian worldview, Faith Academy of Freestone plans to open their doors for the first time, this Fall, it will give kids the opportunity to assist to the Ascot International School next year.

Curriculum will be offered for Kindergarten through Sixth grade. The intention is to add a grade each year, so that their first students may look forward to graduating Faith Academy in 2024-2025. .

The idea for Faith Academy began about a year ago as Jessica Henderson (pictured at right) and Julie Steward got to know each other through bible study and activities with their children.

The two soon realized they both had a strong desire to provide a Christian education for their kids, yet homeschooling was not an option for either of them.

After conversations with other parents, Julie and her husband, Mike, and Jessica began researching curriculum and visiting other Christian schools.

Thus, Faith Academy of Freestone was born.

Joining in the effort are School Board members Dexter Barnes, Leon Thomas – Secretary, Tony Adkins – Assistant Treasurer, and Jane Phillips – Treasurer.

Jessica Henderson serves as Vice President; Julie Steward as President.

Faith Academy of Freestone seeks to partner with parents to provide a quality, Christ-centered education to students, while developing the whole child: mind, body and spirit.

They will offer personalized and intimate learning through small teacher student ratios. Homework will be minimal, movement maximized.

The school plans to partner with Fairfield Public Library, and they will incorporate meaningful field trips.

School calendar will be compatible with Fairfield ISD.

While tuition is $4,750 for the year, a scholarship-based model is the heart of Faith Academy.

Through donations from parents, churches and corporations they envision supplementing tuition and making it affordable for all income levels.
