Fairfield VFD was called out for a vehicle fire on Interstate 45 during the first half of their Open House event on Saturday. Volunteers kept the event going until the crew returned safely.
It was a packed house for Fairfield Volunteer Fire Department’s annual Open House on Saturday evening, October 5, 2024.
Families gathered for a meal of hotdogs, hamburgers, chips, and lemonade; bounce house; tool demos; to explore the fire house and engines; cake auction; 50/50 raffle; and to watch a vehicle entrapment rescue demo.
Fun was had by all, and funds were raised for the department’s needs.
