CEFCO in Fairfield was robbed at gunpoint on Friday morning, September 14, 2018.
Fairfield Police Chief, Kenny Bulger, states that the PD received the transferred 911 call at approximately 10:08 a.m.
According to Chief Bulger, the store manager reported that as he was headed to his vehicle to take a deposit to the bank, a black male wearing blue shorts, a red t-shirt, and a bandana over his face, approached him and demanded the deposit bag at gunpoint.
The store manager advised that once the man had the bag of money in hand, he ran in the direction of Reunion Street.
“There were three of us on duty at the time,” says Chief Bulger. “We each got in separate vehicles and headed to the store, taking three different routes. The suspect was nowhere to be found.”
Chief Bulger explained that no other stores in the area were hit that day and that the incident is still under investigation.
