FAIRFIELD ROTARIANS WERE RECOGNIZED for their giving tradition last week. Jody Tacker (above), District 5870 Lt. Governor, presents banners for the 100% EREY Club and 100% Foundation Giving Club to Fairfield Rotarian and Asst. District Governor, Landis Bayless, for the club’s 2017-2018 achievements.
The 100% EREY (Every Rotarian, Every Year) initiative encourages all Rotary club members to contribute $100 every year to help reach the club’s goal to support the Rotary Foundation financially each year.
The 100% Foundation Giving Club award is for clubs that achieve an average of $100 in per capita giving and 100 percent participation, with every dues-paying member contributing at least $25 to any or all of the following during the Rotary year: Annual Fund, PolioPlus Fund, approved global grants, or Endowment Fund.
Since it was founded more than 100 years ago, the Rotary Foundation of Rotary International has spent more than $4 billion on life-changing, sustainable projects. Their mission is to enable Rotarians to advance world understanding, goodwill, and peace through the improvement of health, the support of education, and the alleviation of poverty.
Fairfield Rotary Club meets each Tuesday at noon at Sam’s Restaurant in Fairfield, Texas. For more information, contact via email to fairfieldrotary1939@gmail.com
