The Fairfield Lady Eagles took the first two games of district play by posting 15 runs in each game over Palestine and Madisonville to lead the district midway through the first set of games
Fairfield won against Palestine on the road when Bailey Jones broke a 9-9 tie in the top half of the sixth inning with and RBI double.
The Lady Eagles posted runs after a couple of early Palestine home runs. Savannah Ellis tripled in a run early in the game. Fairfield broke the game open with five runs in fourth inning with run scoring hits by Kayla Grecu, Camii Wilson and Jones.
Rebecca Dunlap took the win in the circle with the complete game win.
Fairfield tallied a 15-6 win in the district home opener against the Madisonville Lady Mustangs.
Bailey Jones singled in a run in the first inning and Madisonville matched it with a solo home run. Fairfield blew the game open by plating eight runs in the second inning. Harli Hunt doubled in a pair of runs and host of Lady Eagles followed suit in the big inning.
Fairfield is unbeaten in district play heading into a home game with Rusk last Friday.
