‘Keep Our Traditions Alive’ – June 10-15, 2024
The Freestone County Fair and Rodeo kicks off on Monday, June 10, 2024, with the famous parade, beginning at 7:00 p.m. in downtown Fairfield.
Following the parade will be the Stick Bull/Barrel Racing competition at the Ike Carden Arena and the Go Texan Horseshoes Competition.
Music that evening will be the Peter Sinclair Band, beginning at 8:00 p.m.
On Tuesday, June 11th, the Home & Garden Building is open from 10:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. for project viewing (also on Wednesday & Thursday).
That evening features the Miss Freestone County Pageant, beginning at 7:00 p.m. at the Fairfield High School Auditorium. Entry fee is $5 per person. The Children’s Pageant is scheduled for Saturday morning, June 8, 2024, beginning at 9:00 a.m. at the FHS Auditorium.
Also that evening, beginning at 7:00 p.m. will be the Go Texan Washers Competition.
Beginning at 8:00 p.m., Jacob Gonzales and Logan Allison will perform music on the stage.
Wednesday night, June 12th, The Youth Rodeo begins at 6:30 p.m.
Go Texan Cornhole Competition begins at 7:00 p.m.
Performing music for the evening, beginning at 8:00 p.m., will be the cowboy Heritage Church Band.
Events will continue though Saturday evening, including the nightly carnival, which is open from 6:00 p.m. to midnight. Individual tickets are available for rides and games at the ticket booth. Nightly unlimited ride bands are available for $30 each.
