The family of Eva Joyce Burns Foster let her go with The Angelic Hosts in the ETMC Fairfield Emergency Room on Monday Morning, September 5, 2016 among loving family and devoted friends.  
Viewing was at the Angelic Chapel on Friday, Sept. 9, from 4:00 PM and visitation with the family from 6:00 PM-7:00 PM.  Funeral Services were Saturday, September 10, 2016 at 11:00 AM in the Church Of Christ, 700 Post Oak Rd, Fairfield, TX 75840. Reverend Mike Daniels officiated; and Bro. J. T. Milton as the eulogist.  Interment followed in the Hopewell Cemetery in Fairfield.
On October 12, 1950, Eva Joyce White was born to the parentage of Robert and Gerthia White in Freestone County, Texas. 
Eva grew up in Freestone County and attended Dogan High School in Fairfield.
Her early Christian Education was received at Jones Chapel United Methodist Church, Fairfield.
She was first employed at the Fairview Manor Nursing Home, Fairfield, and later the McGee and Teague Nursing.  Her last career was as a Care Giver with the Jordan Home Health Care Co in Teague and Fairfield.
Eva and Clem Foster were married in Louisiana.
Her favorite hobbies included Card Games, Bingo and cooking for her family. She was best known for her Dressing Recipe and Louisiana Gumbo.
She was a member of the South Side Church of Christ in Fairfield at the time of her death.
Eva will be best remembered for her love of spending time with her family on weekends and holidays,   and her quiet and unassuming personality.
Preceding Eva in death are: Her parents, her brothers: Clifford Lucas, Frederick White, Elvia White, Sr., Sherman White, and Kenneth White; and her sisters: Mary Mims, Lovie McElroy.
Those who remain to cherish her memory are: Her sons: Adam White and wife, Dephne, and Floyd Burns, all of Fairfield, TX; Her Grandsons: Broderick White and Isaiah Hudson both of Fairfield, TX; Her aunts: Mildredge Andy and Martha Govan all of Fairfield, Her special friend: Phillip Washington, Nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
