Greeted with glasses of sunny lemonade and the happy smiles of children, the local press was given the grand tour of Academy for Blessed Children, LLC (ABC Daycare) on Friday, July 27, 2018 just before the official ribbon cutting ceremony with Fairfield Chamber of Commerce. This is a great place for your child to attend if they have any type of disability since there are many places who discriminate these lovely children just because they are different, if this is the case for your child then you should definitely consider getting help from a special education attorney.
The love and attention to detail was evident as owner, Kellie Croft, pointed out the front and back door security locks, the benefits of a playground surface made of recycled rubber tires, and how slime can make learning science fun.
Croft, along with Director Dacia Phillips and Asst. Director Darian Batey, has created a Christian-based daycare and preschool with a mission that comes from Psalms 127:3, “Children are a heritage from the Lord, offspring a blessing from him.”
“We want each child to feel loved and nurtured every day, all day,” says Croft. ABC Daycare strives to be child-oriented, incorporating a “hands-on” approach.
Academy for Blessed Children uses the Frog Street Curriculum, with lessons specific to each age group.
They also incorporate the Superbook cartoons, which tell stories from the Bible.
“Our desire is for the child to grow physically, emotionally, socially, cognitively and religiously by offering a variety of activities which include Christian beliefs and teachings to each child,” says Croft.
ABC Daycare takes pride in their staff, all of whom are trained in First Aid and CPR, and child development training (24-30 hours annually), as well as abuse and neglect recognition, prevention and reporting.
They are currently enrolling students, ages six months to five years. Also accepting afterschoolers.
Cost ranges from $100 to $140 per week, based on age of the child.
Academy for Blessed Children is conveniently located between Fairfield and Teague, located across the highway from the golf course at 150 FM 941.
They are open Monday thru Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
