Steven Sanders was named Fairfield EMS 2016 “Star of the Year,” formally held by Paramedic, Blake Ryan. Fairfield Ambulance Services “Star of the Year” award is based on a vote of peers to recognize one’s service and duty throughout the year.

Honoree, Steven Sanders currently resides in McGregor Texas, with spouse Tricia and children Ryan, Cody, Skylar, and Cheyenne.

Steven is currently employed by Fairfield Ambulance Service Inc. as a Certified Paramedic.

Steven grew up in Red Bluff California and graduated from Red Bluff High School in 1991. Steve gained EMT and Fire Fighter Certification in 1999. Steven moved to Central Texas in 2001. Steve gained his Paramedic Certification in 2011 and started his Texas EMS career with Scott & White & Coryell EMS. Steve was nominated two years in a row for Preceptor of the Year for Central Texas College in Killeen and Paramedic of the Year for Coryell EMS in 2012. Steven started his career with Fairfield EMS March of 2014.

“I am honored to receive the ‘Star of the Year’ award from Fairfield EMS, but would have to say that this award belongs to all my coworkers that make Fairfield EMS the best ambulance service I have seen,” says Steven.

Steven is a leading example, always hard working and loves caring for the people of this community,“ states Billy Perez Director of Fairfield Ambulance Service.

Also during the Fairfield EMS Banquet, Service awards were given to Brandon Glass 10 for years of service, Gail Christie for 10 years of service, and Chris Wirtz for 20 years of Service with Fairfield EMS.
