Final ballots were cast on Saturday, and the vote counts are in.

A special proposition was approved for Teague Hospital District and at least one incumbent was ousted.

Here are the apparent winning candidates for local city and school elections:

Fairfield ISD

Three candidates competed for two At-Large positions for Fairfield ISD Board of trustees.

Incumbent Kirby Flandry returns to the board with 363 votes. Joining here is Michael Wren, who garnered 385 voters.
Candidate Josh Carlson had 166 votes.

City of Fairfield

Three positions were up for election for the City of Fairfield Council.

Incumbents Bobby Nichols (Place 3) and Angela Oglesbee (Place 5) will return to their seats, as they were unopposed.

Stephen Daniel will take over Place 4 from incumbent Landis Bayless.

Vote count is as follows: Bobby Nichols (156), Stephen Daniel (111), Landis Bayless (91), and Angela Oglesbee (169)

Teague ISD

Place 5 on the Teague ISD Board of Trustees will see a new face as incumbent Brett Myers did not run for re-election. Vicki Dimiceli was the winning candidate with 166 votes against opponent Mark Stewart Rodgers, with 122 votes.

Incumbents Jason Hullum – Place 6 and Justin Lee – Place 7 were unopposed and will return to the board. They garnered 264 and 266 votes, respectively.

City of Teague

On the Teague Board of Aldermen, Place 2 incumbent Rhonda Jones will keep her seat, earning 127 votes to challenger Douglas Allen’s 53 votes.

Incumbents Chris Nickelberry (Place 4) and Ryan Mathison (Place 5) were unopposed, receiving 162 and 165 votes, respectively.

Teague Hospital District

Teague voters approved a special proposition by Teague Hospital District that will allow for “The imposition of annual taxes by the district for hospital purposes at a rate set not to exceed 12 cents on the $100 valuation of all taxable property in the district.”

The primary purpose of the hospital tax is to provide ambulance service to residents of the Teague Hospital District.

Board President Jim Lawrence has stated that the district will work to keep any tax increase to a minimum.

Election results are considered preliminary and will not be official until canvassing has been completed by each entity.
