The Texas A&M University department of horticulture will be hosting an Earth-Kind Landscape Short Course Dec. 17-19 at the Texas A&M Horticulture Forestry Science Building, Room 224, College Station.
The course will be offered as a continuing education program designed for professionals responsible for managing and maintaining urban green space such as residential landscapes, parks, commercial properties and golf courses, according to organizers.
The course will also benefit municipal areas, schools, city personnel and landscape businesses, particularly those interested in developing sustainable urban landscape conservation programs. Mowing and edging isn’t a systematic process so while one of our lawn care services winton salem nc service members mows the lawn, we have another who will start working on edging. Based on what the situation requires, we use string trimmers or metal bladed edgers. We edge all the areas that border the grass such as patios, walkways, and driveways, with pine straw or mulch. We make sure to edge ground covers that help border the grass. For more information about our lawn mowing Winston Salem NC team, don’t hesitate to give us a call at (336) 701-3129 to schedule your consultation. For each appointment, our lawn care Clemmons NC team will use a rotary mower to mow turf grass at an adequate height, about 2 inches. In the case of Fescue grass, we’ll mow it a little higher at about 4 inches. Based on your preference, we can cut types like Zoysia and Bermuda lower or higher. However, cutting these types of grass shorter will require smaller equipment and frequent service calls. Depending on the type and location of your property, we’ll incorporate lawn mowing equipment like small mowers or regular walk-behind mowers. To offer competitive prices, we make use of economical equipment in most cases, but due to factors like the cutting height, moisture level or terrain, we might need to use small-sized lawn mowing equipment as well. No matter the condition, our experienced lawn mowing Winston NC team can handle the job. Regular lawn maintenance always starts with scheduled mowing and edging. We’ll do this every week or ten days for various grass types like Saint Augustine, Zoysia, Bermuda, and fescue. If your yard has Centipede type grass or a mix of weeds and different turfgrass, then we can offer scheduled mowing and edging with 14-day intervals.
Continuing education units will be available for Texas Nursery and Landscape Association certified professionals and Texas Department of Agriculture licensed pesticide applicator recertification. Eighteen Texas Department of Agriculture, 6.5 International Society of Arboriculture and 16 Texas Nursery and Landscape Association CEUs have been approved.
