Update: Early Voting hours have been extended Nov. 2nd, 3rd & 4th to 7:00 am – 7:00 pm.
Early Voting begins Monday, October 24, 2022 for the General Election.
There will be two locations:
–Fairfield Conference Center – 839 E. Commerce Street
–Teague City Hall – 105 S. 4th Avenue
Both Early Voting locations will be open Monday, October 24th thru Friday, October 28th from 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.; and on Monday, October 31st thru Friday, November 4th from 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
Limited Voting Only will be offered at the Fairfield Conference Center in Fairfield.
Freestone County Election Administrator Reneé McBay explained that this means anyone from the State of Texas may cast their vote at the
Early Voting location in Fairfield, but that ballot would be limited to statewide races only.
The Limited Ballot is used for registered voters who have moved from the county in which they are registered to a new county of residence in Texas, and who will not be registered to vote in the new county on or before Election Day.
Limited Ballots may only be cast during Early Voting, or By Mail (if eligible).

On the ballot this year includes the U.S. Representative for District 6 and District 17.
Previously, all of Freestone County was contained in the 17th District of Congressman Pete Sessions.
Following re-districting by the 87th Texas Legislature, the boundaries of the 17th District include much of the southern portion of Freestone County, namely the voting precincts of Donie (#3), Cotton Gin (#4), Teague (#5), Wortham (#7), Freestone (#10), Butler (#11), and Dew (#13).
Republican Pete Sessions is being challenged by Democrat Mary Jo Woods.
The northeastern part of Freestone County are now included in the 6th District of Congressman Jake Ellzey. Those voting precincts include Fairfield (#1), Fairfield (#2), Kirvin (#6), St. Elmo (#8), Teague (#9), and Streetman (#15).
Republican Jake Ellzey is running unopposed.
That is not the only change for Freestone County voters.
Although Texas State Representative Cody Harris is running for re-election, his House District 8 no longer includes our county.
Freestone County now resides in the 13th House District; and will choose between candidates Angelia Orr (R) and Cedric Davis (D).
The race for State Senate, on the other hand, will keep Freestone County in the same District 5 as previously. Incumbent Charles Schwertner (R) is being challenged by Tommy Estes (D).

–Lieutenant Governor – Dan Patrick (Rep), Mike Collier (Dem), Shanna Steele (Lib)
–Attorney General – Ken Paxton (Rep), Rochelle Mercedes Garza (Dem), Mark Ash (Lib)
–Comptroller of Public Accounts – Glenn Hegar (Rep), Janet T. Dudding (Dem), V. Alonzo Echevarria-Garza (Lib)
–Commissioner of the General Land Office – Dawn Buckingham (Rep), Jay Kleberg (Dem), Alfred Molison, Jr. (Grn)
–Commissioner of Agriculture – Sid Miller (Rep), Susan Hays (Dem)
–Railroad Commissioner – Wayne Christian (Rep), Luke Warford (Dem), Jaime Andres Diez (Lib), Hunter Wayne Crow (Grn)
Other offices of note on the ballot are 87th District Judge with new candidate Amy Thomas Ward (R) running unopposed, and the following (unopposed) County level offices:
