The Fairfield Eagles scored on all six first half drives and cruised to a 52-0 win over the Huntington Red Devils Friday night in Fairfield. The Eagles remain unbeaten and on a collision course with co-leader Palestine Westwood on Halloween night.

Fairfield took the first possession and Kohl Collins completed both passes on the drive and had a 21-yard scramble for a first down. From inside the ten-yard line, he dumped a pass to Khamrion Ingram for the six-yard touchdown and all the points they would need on the night. Kieran King added the extra point and the Eagles led 7-0.

Kalil Appel recovered a fumble, and the Eagles took over at the Red Devil 28. Collins completed the passes on the only two plays of the drive, the second to Finn Smith for a 16-yard touchdown and the King extra point, all good for the entire night, the Eagles led 14-0.

Fairfield forced a punt and took over on their 28 and Collins and the Eagle offense went back to work. On the four-play drive, Collins completed all four-to-four different receivers. Kavion Hicks, Smith, Tylan Davis and the touchdown to Connor Colvert for the 21-0 lead.

The Eagle special teams added to the lead at the end of the first quarter. Huntington got a punt deep in the Fairfield end of the field and Smith scooped it up and picked up solid downfield blocking and returned the punt 78 yards for the 28-0 lead at the end of the quarter.

Huntington had another ball stripped from them and Jason Brackens recovered. Hicks caught a 53-yard pass down to the 12-yard line and Davis would catch the 12-yard touchdown pass. Hicks caught his touchdown pass later in the half and the Eagles led 42-0 at the half.

Collins completed 13 of 15 passes for 236 yards and four touchdowns, all to four different receivers. He would take the rest of the night off with the Eagles having a big lead.

Landon Washington took over the signal calling for the Fairfield offense and they did not miss a beat. He completed his second throw of the game, and it went for a 42-yard touchdown near the end of the third quarter. King added a 28-yard field goal to close out the shutout win 52-0.

The Eagles take to the road on Friday night to battle the Diboll Lumberjacks in a key District 9-3A Division I play.
