The hard work of Fairfield Eagle athletes was recognized and honored during the FHS Athletic banquet on Friday, May 20, 2022.
This year, athletic teams and individuals went beyond play. Their accomplishments include:
–9 District Championships
–8 Playoff Wins
–21 Area Qualifiers
–54 Regional Qualifiers
–21 State Qualifiers
–72 Academic All-District Selections
“Thank you for setting the bar high for future Eagles to strive toward,” said Athletic Director John Bachtel.
Four Fairfield athletes signed letters of intent this year.
They include Bre Dowell with a Track scholarship to Stephen F. Austin University, Kaden Crawford with a Baseball scholarship to Doane College, Jarahle Daniels with a Basketball scholarship to Kilgore Junior College, and Emory Davis with a Basketball scholarship to Northern Vermont.
Most Outstanding Athlete award was presented to Bre Dowell and Hayden Braswell.
Fighting Heart award was presented to Lady Eagles Ava Grecu and Kennedy Lane, and Eli Martin.
Most Improve Athlete award was presented to Shadasia Brackens, and Eagles Julio Roque Rangel and Treyden Johnson.
The banquet was hosted by the Eagle Booster Club, which also purchased $21,000 worth of equipment for the FHS Athletic Program this year
