Louisiana man, Marco Roberts, 38, was arrested and booked into the Freestone County Jail after a normal traffic stop turned up a large quantity of drugs on October 21, 2017.
The stop took place on I-45 at the 187 mile marker around 4:15 p.m. when DPS Trooper Donnie Carter pulled over a Toyota Scion with Louisiana license plates.
After searching the vehicle, Trooper Carter found that Roberts was in possession of drugs and a weapon.
Roberts was arrested and transported to Freestone County Jail where he was charged with Possession of a Controlled Substance, Penalty Group 3, more than 400 Grams ($50,000 bond) and Unlawful Carry of a Weapon ($3,500 bond).
