Dorothy Kear, 81, of Fairfield, passed away Friday, November 6, 2020 in Fairfield. Graveside services were held 2:00 p.m. Thursday, November 12, 2020 at Driver Cemetery with Bro. Carl Clark, pastor of Corinth Baptist Church in Dew officiating. Pallbearers were Jayson Kear, Larry Kear, Jr., Jacob Dickson, Landen McClatchey, Jonathan Allen, Ryan Fitz, Keith Rice, Robert McClatchey and Derrick

Mrs. Kear was born November 16, 1938 in Freestone County to parents Floyd and Dorothy Creel Bishop. She was a lifetime area resident and member of Antioch Baptist Church. She married Hubert Kear on November 22, 1957 and he preceded her in death on June 17, 2007. She was known for her love of crocheting. In addition to her parents and two brothers she was preceded in death by her husband Hubert; a son, Garry Kear and a daughter, Margaret Kear.

Left to cherish her memory are five children, Cinthya Kear of Tyler; Larry Kear of Fairfield; Tommy Dale Kear of Montana; Tammy Green of Fulton, Missouri; Michael Kear and wife Robbie of New Caney, Texas. Three brothers, J.F. Bishop and wife Margie of Seagoville, TX; Charles Bishop of Fairfield; Lonnie Bishop and wife Kay of Gainesville, TX; eight grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.
