Dogan Campus is officially up for sale by Fairfield Independent School District.
Sale of the property had been approved previously and, following a closed Executive Session during the School Board meeting on Monday, April 12, 2021, a 1.17-acre connected tract was added to the sale.
Also approved during their April meeting was a TSTC guideline for payment of student tuition.
For the 2021-2022 school year, Fairfield ISD will pay the tuition costs for students enrolling in TSTC courses offer at Fairfield High School.
To qualify, students must:
–have passed ALL high school courses from the previous semester
–apply for admission to TSTC and be admitted
–have ALL forms filled out and returned to FHS Counseling Department by the due date to be enrolled in the class
Fairfield ISD will pay tuition cost up to 8 hours per semester (Fall & Spring). Additional hours may be taken, but will be at the expense of the individual student / family.
If a student fails to maintain a “B” average in a TSTC course, drops the course, is academically dishonest, or is placed on academic probation from any course paid for by FISD, the school WILL NO LONGER PAY for any addition TSTC courses for the student. Additionally, all tuition costs incurred by FISD will have to be reimbursed.
In other news, FISD school calendar for the 2021 spring semester is being adjusted.
Friday, May 21st will be the last day for all students. This will also be early dismissal day.
Monday, May 24th will be the last day for teachers and 187-day employees. End-of-the-year luncheon will be held that day at the Elementary school campus.
Residents of Fairfield School District are reminded that Early Voting has started this week. (See page 4-B for dates and locations)
Fairfield ISD Board of Trustees meet the second Monday of each month beginning at 6:00 p.m. All future board meetings will be “in-person” at the administration office unless specified otherwise.
