Fiber art is about binding fibers together. Artists are drawn to the tactile pleasure of the fabrics, whether it refers to sewing, knitting, embroidery, macrame, crochet or weaving.
The Arts Council’s Fiber Art Exhibition features local artists DeLois Griffin, Laurie Walther, Cindy Eppes, Cindy Vaughn as well as hand crafted pieces from New Mexico, Oaxaca, Peru and Guatemala.
Some displays will be interactive. Learn weaving techniques on a small loom, or spin a ball of yarn.
Additional gallery hours for the Fiber Exhibition are March 21st, 24th, 26th, and 28th from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at 115 S. Mount, Fairfield.
