The Dew Bulldogs traveled to Mount Calm October 10, 2018 to compete in the District 27-A Cross Country meet.

Both teams did exceptionally well.

There were two girls that made it to the top ten: Rebecca Coker came in 7th place and Taylor Bell who came in 10th place.

The girls finished 3rd place as a team.

The Boys team had three top ten finishers, the first being Aaron Valentin, who finished in 6th place; Kaden Adams, who came in 9th place; and Joshua Owens, who came in 10th place.

The Boys overall finished 1st place in district, capping off the 1st district title in School history.

“I am so extremely proud of both teams and all the hard work that they put in from day one,” says Coach Terry Potter. “I told the kids on the first day of practice that they are a special group of kiddos and I can’t think of a group of kiddos that deserve this success more than these kids.”

Coach Potter gave a special thank to superintendent Mr. Darrell Evans and the Faculty and staff of Dew ISD, as well as Dew ISD school board.

“Without their commitment and support of Dew Athletics, we would not be able to accomplish the goals that we have set out,” he said.

Thank you to all of the parents, family and fans for the support all season long. Dew Bulldog runners look forward to building on this success for years to come.

Go, Bulldogs!
