Dennis Ray Clifton, 73 of Fairfield, passed away May 18, 2020 in Fairfield. He was born July 15, 1946 in Orange, Texas. He married the love of his life, Jannite Jurek, on June 27, 1966.
Dennis was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. He was a hard worker and enjoyed working with his hand building custom cabinets. Over the years he and Jannite raised goats, cattle and horses and enjoyed spending time together. He was a proud, strong man who loved his family. Dennis liked listening to country music and enjoyed playing the guitar. Most of all he loved his family.
Dennis is preceded in death by his brothers, Larry Merrell and Charles Clifton; sisters, Deborah Heitman and Cathy Brumley; grandson, Travis Shoffield.
He leaves behind his loving wife of 53 years, Jannite Clifton; mother, Lois Mize; children, Cheril Clifton, Tammy Shoffield, Mickiel Clifton and wife Jennifer. Grandchildren, Kourtney Abram and Arylin, Jazmine Lacy and Ty Cobb, Buck Shoffield, Raeven Shoffield, Alyssa Clifton, Samuel Clifton. Great grandchildren, Arylin Abram Jr., Kynli Abram, Ty Cobb Jr., Khloe’ Shoffield, Jaci’ Shoffield. He is also survived by sister June Loge and husband Larry, brother Steve Clifton and wife Donna, brother Rob Clifton and wife Barbara, sister Paula Waldo and husband Lance.
