A Tri-County Democratic Candidate Tour will be held this Sunday, September 11, 2002.
Twelve candidates will visit with voters in Freestone, Leon and Falls counties at the following locations:
–10:00 a.m. – Providence Baptist Church, 412 Commerce Street, Marlin, Texas
–1:00 p.m. – Bethana Baptist Church, 6565 County Road 419, Flynn, Texas
–4:00 p.m. – Butler Community Center, 1604 FM 489, Fairfield, Texas
The program at each venue will include a Welcome, Pledge of Allegiance, Introduction of the State Chair, County Chair, and local officials.
Candidates attending will include:
–Railroad Commissioner: Luke Warford
–State Comptroller: Janet Dudding
–Agriculture Commissioner: Susan Hays
–Land Commission: Jay Kleberg
–TX HD13: Cedric Davis
Judicial candidates include:
–Justice, Supreme Court, Place 5: Amanda Reicheck
–Justice, Supreme Court, Place 9: Julia Maldonado
–Judge, Court of Criminal Appeals, Place 5: Dana Huffman
–Judge, Court of Criminal Appeals, Place 6: Robert Johnson
