Delbert Green Armstrong Sr., 76, of Oakwood passed away November 17, 2016 at his residence.
He was born March 16, 1940 in Teague, Texas to Leonard Armstrong and Letha Mae Weaver.
Mr. Armstrong is preceded in death by his parents, Leonard and Letha Mae Weaver Armstrong; brothers, Jack Platt, Henry Armstrong, Charles Armstrong and James Armstrong; sons, Rocky Lynn Armstrong, Delbert Green Armstrong Jr. and grandson, Cody Allan Marfell.
He is survived by his wife, Judy Allison Armstrong; children, Barbara Armstrong and Christine Armstrong; eight grandchildren, Corey Ludwick (Rael), Brandon Ludwick, Jared Ludwick, William Armstrong, Chassidy Davis (Richard), Bethany Magers (Andrew), Luke Marfell and Rebekah Marfell; nine great grandchildren and two sisters, Maxine Dommer and Ola Mae Massey.
Visitation was Saturday, November 19 and service was held Sunday, November 20, 2016 at the Griffin-Roughton Funeral Home Chapel. Burial followed at Mt. Zion Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Luke Marfell, Corey Ludwick, Brandon Ludwick, Jared Ludwick, William Armstrong and Justin Cunningham.
