Dear Editor,

The election process for choosing who ‘We The People’ want to lead our nation – is over.  The American registered voters turned out in volume with a hidden message attached.  There was no verifiable manipulation of the processing and counting of votes.  It all went pretty smoothly, all things considered.  ‘The People’ simply want a change in leadership.  It is as simple as that.  They have had enough of adolescent behavior and egotism from the Capitol of our great nation.

Having said this, I reach out to those of you who had the wisdom to recognize a problem that was detrimental to our position and influence in the world that we live in and had the courage to stand up and be counted.  For that, I am most grateful.

We will go forward from now into the future with new leadership BUT, we need to correct a problem; and that is much larger than just who leads us for the next few years.  I am speaking of the problem of the way we choose our leadership and the ever-present influence of ‘money’ interfering with the process.  That is just ‘corruption,’ plain and simple.  We need to change government (us) and we need more choice.  In a great nation such as we are, with millions of educated, capable people we should be able to come up with more than two legitimate choices for us to consider.  We can make this happen but only is we get serious about the direction we need this country to pursue, both locally and abroad.  We cannot go forward with falsity and cheap shots on the Internet.  We must look back to our great leaders of the past who put the people and their interests ahead of everything else.  For it is only the survival of us that will maintain our fabric.  And then the fabric (or what we are made of) will ensure our prosperity.
