Dear Editor,
Special election is coming up. To save our hospital I know that I’m going to vote NO on the current proposition! We need our hospital! I think about all the jobs that will be lost if our hospital and clinic close and it makes me sad. I think of family emergencies and how vital it is to have an emergency room close. Even if they can’t treat you here, they can stabilize you and send you to a bigger hospital.
I have always been satisfied with the care I have received from our local hospital and clinic. I am so grateful to our doctors, our lab department, x-ray department! I am so grateful because they saved my life twice. Most recently they detected my breast cancer early enough for treatment to cure me. They are the very reason I am a cancer survivor today!
I also think we need to keep our hospital and clinic facilities in order to contribute to the growth of our community. I know there are people out there that would not relocate to our community if there is no medical facility here. My prayer is also for us to have a medical facility that specialist would want to work at, so that we can have even more opportunities for medical care close to home.
We can all find ways to sacrifice and save for the extra tax money it will take.
I would like to thank the Hospital Board members that take time out of their jobs to help improve our hospital. The time they give is sacrificial and they do it for the love of their community and they, like Randall and I, are all business owners and want to see our medical care continue in our town.
I ask all my fellow Christians to take a moment and pray. Pray that you will be led to cast the right vote. Pray for all the doctors, nurses, and hospital and clinic staff. I ask you to please put the hospital and its staff on your church prayer lists. It is our duty to take care of others, especially those that are unable to care for themselves.
I am choosing to put our local hospital, its staff, the clinic and its staff and anyone who is affected by this proposition in our medical community FIRST!
I am choosing to vote NO on the current proposition!
May God Bless Us All.
