Dear Editor,
Problem? Americans of every stripe today are beset with multiple problems that degrade the quality of our lives; the common thread to them is the pervasive slant that national media continually feeds us through TV, radio, social media, and big city newspapers.
Except for mainly The Wall Street Journal and very few other papers, we are fed a false narrative that is not unlike old soviet disinformation: inflation’s cause was Trump’s policies, the border is secure, public education is doing fine, our military is the world’s strongest, etc. Pure BS. It’s un-American in its message, especially to the young.
Watching yesterday’s Dallas Cowboys game, I was struck by one such distortion in the commercials. Black Americans comprise roughly 13% of the population but are featured in 100% of the commercials, frequently in mixed race marriages. Where are commercials featuring successful Hispanic Americans, Asian Americans, native Americans? They’re missing.
Pop culture is saturated with false leftist messages: that gender is a conscious choice instead of a matter of biological fact; street crime as the result of poverty; public education in all major cities is, as a result of weak and leftist teachers unions, a bad joke; the use of incorrect pronouns is permitted or encouraged; most universities illegally/unconstitutionally discriminate using race instead of merit for admission, ad nauseum.
America’s military is derided and disparaged; honest patriotism is mocked as a “quaint” holdover from another time [the last major motion picture from Hollywood that promoted our greatness was almost 25 years ago –Saving Private Ryan]. Tellingly, the Hollywood elite awarded that year’s Academy Award for best picture to a mindless sit-com called Shakespere in Love . . . a foretaste of future trends.
Now, we have right in front of us a simple, effective answer to the chaos. Vote these idiots out! If the Republican party doesn’t screw up this week, winning back the Congress is likely. Choosing an electable presidential candidate for 2024 must be a priority!
