Dear Editor,
I would like to see a little investigative reporting on the new Fuel Maxx.
It has been rumored on social media and off that the owners have a problem with America and or the American Flag.
I have read that Vets, Contractors, and Workers wearing the American flag on clothing/hats/hard hats/Etc. were told to leave the property.
There has been said there should be a ban on this business for these reasons.
I personally will not do business with anyone that has hate for America/Americans/The Flag BUT, if the rumors are not true I’d hate to see the owners lose business on a falsehood.
I will be looking forward to reading what you find out.

Editor’s Note: Our reporter spoke with a representative of Fuel Maxx last week, who stated that a man did call their corporate office complaining that he was asked to leave the Fairfield property, currently under construction, because he had an American Flag on his hat.
However, as the man would not give his name or provide a contact number where he could be reached, the company was unable to investigate further.
“Fuel Maxx is absolutely NOT anti-America or American Flag,” states the Fuel Maxx representative. “I can only assume it was a big misunderstanding caused by someone trying to cause problems for our company.”
Fuel Maxx is slated to open sometime in July, and will have three restaurants inside the Fairfield location: Taco Corner, Checkers, and Dickey’s Barbeque.
The business is currently accepting applications for the gas station and all three restaurants. To apply, contact Sam at 832-488-8336 or 281-323-5282.
