Dear Editor,
Whoever it was who first said, “May you live in interesting times” surely had this past year in mind, at least for Americans.
REFLECTIONS
Inflation earlier in the year wiped out much of middle class wage gains when a dozen eggs topped $5 a dozen. It has been cooled considerably but remains a danger this new year.
The stock market is strong, unemployment down, and futures look promising – thanks to our bedrock capitalist economy and a conservative House of Representatives,
The timid Biden administration continues to tiptoe around our enemies, refusing to fund the Ukrainian war effort against Russia and Iran. We give our brave Ukrainian friends enough to keep the Russians at bay but not enough to help them win the war to liberate their country. Why?
Our “do-nothing” congress adjourned and went home without passing any legislation to secure the wide-open southern border or to help our Ukrainian friends. The border is wide open.
Americans’ eyes are finally opening to the truth that the nonsense peddled by “progressives” is in fact nonsense. There is a mounting counter movement to Diversity-Equity-Inclusion that poisons high school and college curricula; the firing of Harvard’s president this week is a good start. God willing, it will accelerate.
PREDICTIONS
At a closed-door insistence of the Democratic National Convention, Joe Biden will agree to not run again so as to spend “more time with the family.” Part of such an agreement could likely be that Hunter Biden escapes jail time . . . despite the overwhelming force of evidence showing criminal influence-peddling.
Trump will likely be the GOP nominee, but Haley could be in the mix as well.
The GOP will take back the entire congress and the White House.
America will survive 2024 in spite of all our foreign and domestic enemies.
God bless America
