Beautiful takeout on Senator John Glenn. My brother and I, courtesy of your Dad, had a chance to meet him during one of those deer hunting adventures.
Years later I interviewed him a handful of times during my days at CNN. First time we talked I told him about the Fairfield meeting and he literally glowed, talked about your dad, remembered “the Marsters boys,” and each time we talked after that he remembered and he’d say “Hey Fairfield!”
Pretty heady stuff for a kid from a town of 2000 (1960s population). We were lucky to meet him. America needs MORE true heroes like him.
