Dear Editor,
I believe there are a lot of kind and caring people still in the world, and many of them live right here in Freestone County! I saw many of them at a fund raiser sponsored by Freestone Cancer Support Group for Lexie Neptune. They showed up to give their support to a special little girl!
I see people sharing in so many ways. Some time ago I mentioned needing peanut butter for hungry kids, jackets and blankets to keep people warm. I came home to find my porch full of peanut butter, jackets, and blankets.
Do we have problems all around us – yes – but I would rather focus on the good we find. Call me an optimist – or naïve – it is okay.
I salute Freestone County and my Country for the caring and kind people I am privileged to see and work with that make a difference!
