David E. Pratt was born January 10, 1951 in Richmond, Texas to M.D. and Jacqueline Pratt and died April 27, 2020 at his home in Granbury, Texas. David was preceded in death by his parents and older brother Robert E. Pratt. As he requested, he is to be buried next to his parents and beloved older brother at Fairfield Cemetery. A private graveside service is planned for May 23, 2020 with Reverend Richard Heyduke of Fairfield United Methodist Church officiating.


David was a devoted and cherished husband, father, brother and son who found a special joy as the father of two daughters, Sarah and Amy. As a late in life husband and father ,he often quoted ”If there ever comes a day when we can’t be together, keep me in your heart, I’ll stay there forever.”


He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Melissa Armador Pratt and their two daughters, Sarah Pratt and Amy Pratt, Granbury, Texas, Leticia Armador,(mother in law) Bastrop,Tx . Sisters, Patricia A. Pratt, Fairfield, Texas, Sharon Pratt Gross (Kenton), Tolar, Texas and brother, Michael Pratt (Michelle),Fairfield, Texas .Nephews: Jacob Pratt(Jill ) Round Rock,Tx., Eli Pratt( Hannah), Fairfield, Tx., Zachary Pratt, Fairfield, Tx. , Jon Wood( Brittany), Weatherford, Tx . Robert E. Pratt Jr. ,San Francisco ,Ca Nieces : Jacqueline Leanne Gross Edwards( Jeremiah), Azle,Tx; Jean Wickham-Baird (Michael) Burleson, Tx, Rebecca Pratt Coleman(Jonathan),Cleburne, Tx and Tammy Pratt Cullum(Christopher) North Haltom City, Tx. Uncle: Earnie and aunt, Maijel Urech , St. Charles, Missouri and many cousins and friends.

As David was raised in the South Main Gardens Methodist Church, Houston ,Texas and was married in the Stewart Memorial Methodist Church Buffalo, Texas; family requests that any memorials be sent to the St. Stephens Society or Mission Fund orBuilding Fund at Fairfield First United Methodist Church or to the church of your choice.
