Daryl LaFerguson Brooks, Sr., 44, son of Emma and David Brooks, passed away on Wednesday, July 18, 2019 in the St. Joseph Regional Hospital in Bryan, Texas.
Viewing at Moore’s Angelic Funeral Home was held Friday, July 26, 2019 from 1:00 – 8:00 p.m. with the family present from 7:00 – 8:00 p.m.
Funeral services were held Saturday, July 27, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. in the First Baptist Church, 209 N. 6th Street in downtown Teague, Texas with Min. Tristan Hobbs of Groesbeck officiating and Bishop William Lewis of Corsicana, Eulogist.
Interment will be in the Antioch Cemetery, N. 1st Street in Teague, Texas.
Survivors include: his fiancé: Anita-Nelson “Precious” Turner; his father: David (Rose) Brooks of Teague; mother: Emma Brooks, Mexia; brothers: Jerriate Brooks (Nicole) of Waxahachie, Tyrus Busby of Teague, and Dameyon Brooks (Erica) of Teague; sons: Daryl Brooks, Jr. of San Antonio; Keivontray Brooks of Dallas; daughters: Tanequa Brooks of Waco, Allaisjah Brooks of Corsicana; grandchildren, aunts and uncles, step-brothers and nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
Daryl was born on October 22, 1974. He was a graduate of Teague High School and was baptized in the First Baptist Church North Teague by Rev. W.H.T. Gillespie. He was employed by the BNSF Railroad at the time of his death.
