In response to Governor Abbott’s reopening Texas for business, Freestone Medical Center wants to remind our community that in addition to the Governor’s actions, hospitals remain under the Texas Health and Human Services Commission’s emergency rule regarding screening and access for persons entering a hospital and for hospitals to maintain policies restricting visitor access as necessary to limit the spread of Covid-19.
To keep our community, patients, staff, physicians, nurses, technicians and employees as safe as possible, Freestone Medical Center will continue to screen all entrants to our facility and continue to limit visitors under our current policy. “While I had hoped to reopen our doors with the rest of our great state, our first responsibility is to protect our patients, our health care workers, and community,” said John Yeary, FMC CEO. “We ask that our community please continue to observe our screening process upon entering the facility, wear facemasks while in the facility and practice safe hygiene at all times.”
