The Freestone County Fair and Rodeo is just around the corner and participants are getting geared up for the big week of June 10-15, 2024.
The Association held Validation on Saturday, April 6th at the Fairgrounds in Fairfield for Market and Breeding swine, sheep, goats, and non-registered heifers; and there was a huge turnout.
On Saturday, April 13th, volunteers met at the new show barn (right) to it up to house pigs, sheep, and goats.
This year’s fair and rodeo week will include the annual Parade, Beauty Scholarship Pageant, Livestock & Ag Mechanics Show, Home & Garden Show, Carnival, Rodeo, Live Music, Pet Show, and more!
New this year in the Home & Garden show will be a Fruit and Vegetable Creature Category (above). Let’s see how creative you are!
Sign-Up for the Friday and Saturday night rodeo events opens on Wednesday, May 1st. Events include In County Breakaway on Friday, in memory of Thomas Doyle Cannon; In County Barrels on Saturday night; Wild Cow Milking; Mutton Bustin; UPRA Rodeo; and Calf Scramble.
Youth Rodeo entries will open May 27th to June 5th.
