Over 60 entries have been submitted for the inaugural Student Poster Contest, presented by Trinity Star Arts Council.

Winners will be announced next week during an exhibition held Thursday, May 1st beginning at 5:30 p.m. at the TSAC Gallery in downtown Fairfield.

Entries will be on display, featuring the Freestone County Fair & Rodeo theme.

Grand and Reserve banners and third place ribbons will be awarded in the Junior (8-12) and Senior (13-18) divisions.

Posters were judged based on five criteria:

–Originality/creativity

–Message, attracts attention

–Appealing

–Organization

–Promotional Ability

TSAC’s mission is to present performing, literary and visual arts in Freestone County through education and participation. Its goal is to benefit citizens by providing opportunities to engage in arts-related activities and to be entertained by them.

Monthly meetings are open to the public and held September through May on the first Tuesday of each month at 12 noon at the TSAC Gallery, located at 115 S. Mount Street in Fairfield.
