Cooper James Martin went to his Heavenly home on May 10, 2019 at the age of four.

Super Cooper touched the lives of everyone who met him. He held a special place in our hearts from the moment he was born.

He was a walking dictionary about his favorite thing on Earth, Dinosaurs. His knowledge and enthusiasm on the subject was impressive well beyond his years. He was always excited to talk about the Stegosaurus or his favorite Tyrannosaurus Rex.

Cooper is survived by his father, Lance Eric Martin; mother, Wendy Mensch Martin; brother Garrett Bradley Mensch; brother Zachary Cole Martin; maternal grandparents, Artie and Carol Mensch; maternal great-grandparents, Cecil and Sue Mensch; aunts and uncles, Koory and Carey Arthur; William and Marissa Mensch; and numerous other family members and friends.. Cooper is preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Leonard (Pete) and Linda Martin.

  Visitation will be Thursday, May 16, 2019 from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Griffin-Roughton Funeral Home.

Funeral Service will be 10:00 a.m. Friday, May 17, 2019 at Fairfield Christian Center with Rev. Troy Hendrickson and Rev. Bob Sullivan officiating.

Burial will follow at Lake Chapel Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be William Mensch, Bradley Arthur, Koory Arthur and Eric Peterson.

The family is grateful to Fairfield Hospital and the many Doctors’, Nurses’ and Paramedic staff who fought tirelessly to save Cooper’s life. Despite the heroic effort displayed, he is now walking hand-in- hand with Jesus.

We will miss him, but would not trade the time we had with him; and will always remember our Super Cooper. As Cooper would say, while smiling from ear-to-ear, “Waka Waka.”
