Ready to let everyone in Freestone County experience exactly why your Chili is the best Chili ever?
Get registered for Freestone Autoplex’s 1st Annual Chili Cook Off benefitting the Dew, Fairfield, Kirvin and Teague Fire Departments.
Registration has begun, and all will be accepted through Monday, January 25, 2020.
It is a $50 entrance fee for a team of up to four members, with the cook-off check-ins beginning at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 30, 2021, with judging at 2:30 p.m.
Creativity is welcome at this cook-off with there being no restrictions on type of meat, spices used, or whatever bean you prefer in your chili. Just make sure you make at least four quarts.
Each team needs to provide their own tent or canopy along with their crooker (or crockpot), and table. Teams may bring outdoor games like cornhole or washers if they like.
Remember when the event is over you are responsible for your own clean up.
If you do not feel like making chili, come on out for fun and food.
KNES will be on hand doing a live remote during the Chili Cook-Off.
A $5 admission gets you into the event, plus a BBQ sandwich with a drink, chili tastings, and entry for some great prizes.
Do not forget to check out the silent auction they have going on either.
Outdoor Social Distancing will be followed.
