FIREFIGHTING CREWS from Fairfield, Butler, Oakwood, and Teague responded to a large wildfire on FCR 241 on Wednesday, March 14th.
Rough terrain made it difficult to contain the fire. The Texas A&M Forest Service responded with two dozers to make fire breaks for fire crews.
According to officials, there were multiple fires in Freestone County that day – all reportedly started from controlled burns.
